Somehow, i can't wait for National Day. Wow i'm so patriotic. Are you not? Well, as pathetic as i may sound, i've never been to National day Parades, EXCEPT the one when i was primary 5 and watched the preview, with the lovely primary school mates, and the lovely P5s around Singapore at that point of time. So exciting!
BUT, i've never really missed watching live telecast on TV. Definitely one of the most exciting part would be, WHEN THE JET PLANES FLY ABOVE YOUR HOUSE. ZZZOOOOOooooom!! And the Apache which i used to call it Atapchi. ATAPCHI! ATAPCHI!
The days when we were in primary school and secondary school, we'd remember the times when we were SOOO busy preparing for National Day Concert. I remembered performing a Malay Dance and with the rest of the girls, so jambu!! (Mak oi perasan nyer dekni). Apart from that was the never missed Band Performances. Everytime when there's such concerts, i'll always have a quick change from Malay dance outfit to Band uniforms, or vice versa ahahha.
NOT FORGETTING THE "FUN FAIR". Fooodds... henna making... wedding demonstrations(for malay, chinese, indian, all lah) AND MOREE! that i cant really remember much.
OH OH! AND WE'LL ALWAYS GET GIFTS FROM THE SCHOOL! Such as hole puncher, stapler, folders, key chain, towel, post-its, and banyak lagi. Hahah! Kental jugak eh. But best ah! FREE mah.
As for my time in secondary school, the most memorable would be the time when i lead the band march around the parade square. HAHAH. AND conducted the song 'LIVIN LA VIDA LOCA', ON THE PARADE SQUARE AS WELL. So gerek lah!! National day play 'LIVIN LA VIDA LOCA'. And that was when everyone made fun of me, coz when i conduct, i shake my butt. Eh RICKY MARTIN can do, why i cannot?
In poly, there's no such big National Day celebrations. Except for the one organized by SEG in south canteen. Eh at least sumthing sehh.. Play 3 games, and get a badge with your face on it. SO FUN!! And the performances from the students were fun. and funny at the same time.
I also wanna memorise the lyrics for this song lah.
A girl who lives a double life
as an average girl by day
and a famous pop singer by night,
concealing her real identity from
the public, other than to her
one and only Hady Mirza.♥
